    Caused by: java.nio.file.AccessDeniedException: C:\ProgramData\FAForever\cache\featured_mod Seems like folder/file permission related or security software is blocking access.

    Still great advice! I would only add one point which is, find like minded people to play with. If you are looking to improve on Ladder (TMM now) or Custom x vs x games and find that you are unable to perform good enough to win on your own, make some friends and queue together because at the end of the day, even if you do everything perfectly, you are playing a team game. As Picard once said: "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose." Sometimes your opponent is just better. Use those times to learn from them.

    See the game logs - you can open the in-game game log via f9 or ctrl + f9. That should indicate an error.

    These kinds of software licenses are often non-transferrable meaning that if you buy the game for yourself, technically you shouldn't be letting other people play your copy. Is that a silly rule? Maybe. But the whole point of having Steam-linking and GOG-linking is to protect FAF from being accused of facilitating copyright violations. I have some good news, though: "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance" is on sale NOW at Steam for just $2.59 So if your friend has a Steam account, he can buy the game for himself for just $2.59 The offer ends in 20 hours, so: act fast

    The UI for it has never been built properly so what we have atm is kindof a stopgap that does a poor job of explaining what’s going on. The only time you can see how many violations you have is when you get another one. The message will tell you the total number that you currently have.
