I think this is also generally more impactful at lower levels than higher levels on average, as the impact of individual map familiarity can be reduced by increased generalized skill and map reading ability in FAF. Also, FTX said yes when I asked, "do you really deny the concept that people play a map better by like the 5th time they play it than the 1st, and play it even better by like the 10th time, etc in general?" That seems like denying at least a significant aspect of the impact of map familiarity, and that question is clearly and directly related to the OP and the purpose of this thread, regardless of what you want to call it

    I agree with Femto. I would remotlce the WoG logo from the beginning and replace the discord logo section with the WoG logo. There should be another gameplay section after the reimagined unit balance text.

Specifically, if map edges had a zone that dampens any movement towards the edge (ONLY towards the edge, so only changing one of the speed vector's components), that should not feel too immersion breaking. Ideally, maps would be designed with that zone in mind, but if the zone is not too big it should not affect existing maps too much.

    I used to play SupCom on four pc's, First pc had a E6300. Second one a E8500 (core2duo) Third one a 2500k And now a 13700k. Even the E6300 managed to run the vanilla game. Finnished all the campaigns on that pc. The e6300 was paired with a GeForce 7600 GS or GT.

    I know of 1 time when I ALT+F4ed and it desyncs the game for the rest because it was on stream, and I often get desyncs just by watching replays of my own games that are about an hour old.

    Yesterday I just downloaded and installed windows update KB5022404 for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, Version 22H2. And Wow ! Suddenly the videos and voices can be played normally for SC:FA. Amazing ! Its no longer a broken game !

    Yeah, I also play worse when I have to talk to people. Playing with a team is kinda the point of team games isn't it? I don't really understand what drives people to play team games alone where they never communicate and don't even look at what's happening on the other side of the map until an ACU explodes. Just like playing a 1v1 with extra lag and misery added at that point. Hence, I only play 1v1. Clearly I'm in the minority on this though so I'm probably insane, or everyone else is.

    That sounds like the game creates new units based on the BP of the units in full share. Would be the same base issue as upgrades done post creating of the units not feeding into the veterancy bonuses I saw somewhere else. There is some mod that transfers all your units to one player automatically when you die, that idea probably could be merged into the full share function to allow for a better full share feature solving this issue. Maybe the Game Team can investigate the viability of my proposal and implement it if feasible.

    It's not unsolvable, but it would require more communication between the server and the lobby. That's complicated to set up and so far everybody that is theoretically capable of doing it has determined that their efforts are better spent elsewhere.

    @Brutus5000 I don't think having a skill rating in a PvsAI is helping anybody much. The only reason why rating even exists, is so we can create fair matches. But the entire point of PvsAI is that matches don't need to be fair. If i wanted fair matches, i would play PvP. If i am a PvsAI player, and i want to assess my own skill, i just need to play two or three matches against different difficulty AIs (assuming we have good knowledge of AI rating) and then i know what i can beat, i don't really need anything more finegrained. So while a PvsAI queue would certainly not hurt anybody, that would be a very low priority feature from my point of view.
