      It is only useful for tourney prep, that’s about the only situation where bos get serious effort put into them. Still is a nice thing to have for tournament players, though. Also doesn’t really matter if it gets revealed the first time you play the map, people won’t have the time to incorporate the bo into their gameplay in the middle of a tourney. The main problem is that you could spend 8 hours working on a bo for a tourney map and then some dude logs on, sees your work, spends an hour copying it and maybe refines it even more himself. Just destroys the desire to do any bo work unless you know the mechanics on how to break your replays (which is another barrier to entry for new high tier players).

      Your image actually visualizes the problem exactly. If the target and shooter are at the same height, the shot is pinpoint accurate. That image is not taken with orthographic projection and your drawing is made as if it is made on a perfect X / Y plane. I can come up with another angle that would proof the opposite. The observation of BlackYps is solid and counteracts your observation: if what you say is true, then the projectile should hit the ground in front of an extractor when the extractor is at a higher altitude. It doesn't - it still tries to hit it somewhere behind it. There is no such thing as a "partial" hit. Either the shot connects or it doesn't. There is such a thing as a partial hit if your projectiles split up into 4 separate projectiles and two hit the target while the other two don't. You mentioned this behavior in your post. This is an interesting pattern I hadn't noticed. I wonder if the problem can be worked around by increasing the minimum muzzle velocity of the shot, or by changing the projectile's behavior. (Increase speed OnCreate if target is higher, reduce of target is lower.) Do you want me to share the small mod I made for testing this? Then you can tweak around

      @Tagada I disagree about Aurora being to strong if Aeon MAA didn't die in one bomb. You view games from ~2400 rating. I view games from ~1100 rating. We have different viewpoints of the same game. Disadvantages of Aurora that would remain if MAA was buffed. Still dies to one T1 bomber bomb. Still can't raid as effectively as other T1 tanks. Still can't storm PD as effectively as other T1 tanks. Benefits if Aeon T1 MAA HP was 260. Would not die to one bomb anymore (mostly). Theoretically could soak more dmg from T1 tanks (lol). Hay, you know what, why not make the Aeon MAA extra range (3 units) meme actually useful? Increase by some amount (e.g. 5 units) so it is more effective against bombers but still dies in one hit if you forgot radar. Try this idea. Also T1 bombers are primarily used (from watching replays and my experience) to kill engineers. Can a change be made to their default target priorities have engi's (or units) > structures?

      I’ve been writing a tool that can decode the replay format and I’ve tested it on .supremecommanderreplay files and it does seem to work. https://forum.faforever.com/topic/1551/faf-scfa-replay-parser-library It won’t let you watch the replay though, just get some information about it and inspect the command stream. You’ll have to rename the replay to .scfareplay atm or the tool will refuse to read it. Hope to change that at some point.

      I had the same issue once. Was super frustrating that I couldn't even explain to my enemy why I can't keep on playing. It seems that windows thinks you're constantly holding the windows key. Apparently pressing the physical windows key again fixes it, bit I don't know for sure, because it happened only once to me.
