    Caused by: java.nio.file.AccessDeniedException: C:\ProgramData\FAForever\cache\featured_mod Seems like folder/file permission related or security software is blocking access.

    Still great advice! I would only add one point which is, find like minded people to play with. If you are looking to improve on Ladder (TMM now) or Custom x vs x games and find that you are unable to perform good enough to win on your own, make some friends and queue together because at the end of the day, even if you do everything perfectly, you are playing a team game. As Picard once said: "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose." Sometimes your opponent is just better. Use those times to learn from them.

    The fix is only about the decoding about Game.prefs file. Without any log and any error description, I assume your Linux issue is unfortunately not related to that decode-issue.

    Well, either your security permissions are messed up, or you have third party software messing something up. On a default windows installation your applications never run as admin unless the app itself is reqeusting admin rights, which the FAF client does not do.

    @jip Thanks, or maybe this is due to the map, on other maps for example: dualgap, this problem has never been.

    Also you can always downgrade your client to older version to some extent. The downloads are here: https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/releases The minimum required version right now is 2022.10.0

    I've only ever used my current username. What you read is the system name (which I do it after my mobo). This is a Asus B550 Strix. I can't explain the error since the game ran fine before, and it broke while trying to install the last update. As I stated, uninstall, clearing caches/config files seem to do nothing. Is there a client config I'm missing somewhere?
