Hello all, its that time of the year again where we show our setons skills at top tier gameplay! This year we will have a resulting 2024 King of Setons and 2024 Prince of Setons (Queen or princess, whatever your heart desires!) Please go on ahead and register your team and read through the information below! Looking forward to the tourney and answering any questions till then.

Double Elimination
This tournament format tends to be used for more casual events as it provides a way to ignore the concerns of seeding that more competent players have by having a "2nd chance" bottom bracket. It takes losing at least 2 series to be knocked out. The format also tends to have an additional match to determine the final winner in the case that the winner of the bottom bracket beats the winner of the top bracket. The existence of this extra game in the case of a loss is the extra security the winner of the top bracket gets for never losing a series.

Please provide name of team and players.
Please arrive 1 hour - 30 minutes before tournament is hosted for check in.Allyby:
If player naturally disconnects throughout the game, team will have option to continue. Although Must have 4 players to start game.
If by chance the game disconnects due to server issues, (multiple people) the game or match will be null. In this event a new game will be hosted. In the event the servers go down, the tourney will be postponed to a later date.Map:

Settings: Balance: Fixed, (Players will not play same slot twice) Full-Share, 1500 max unit
We will have a maximum of 10 team entriesRules:
As of now we will have 2 separate brackets, one for 1800+ 5 teams and -1700 ratings 5 teams. More to follow.
- As of now we will have single signups , --> highest rated for each team will be team captains for their respective bracket.
- If player of team does not show up for tournament, team will be disqualified, NO substitutes for current team. If there is a team on standby, that team will be the replacement on the respective brackets!

Tourney seems a bit unclear , are you aiming for a high rated setons or a lower one ? is it 2v2 or 4v4 ? can i just stack a team with tagada yudi farms ? How is the tourney gonna be balanced if there are 5 teams >1800 and the other 5 teams under <1700.

@insidiousnoob It will be both Doni, I will give reconsideration later, but for now I need a list who's going to play in the tourney to better apply the rules. No point making decisions with only 3 players signed up to play. And no you are banned from the tourney doni (jk). As far as teams I think that's pretty self explanatory, I even put a picture there to mark up the player positions lol but just for you I will write it in the post. Traditional setons is played 4v4.

Wdym Traditional Setons is played 4v4? We actually had a 2v2 Setons tournament not too long ago , It’s a bit much to assume everyone will understand your format just from a map picture. A well-structured and balanced tourney really helps attract players to sign up.
The link I shared earlier has a great example of a balanced 4v4 Setons tourney format that might be helpful to check out if you're aiming for a clear and organized setup.

Well considering this is almost an exact copy of last years tournament thread, I would say yes, everyone who read it assumed it was a 4v4 because Setons is traditionally played 4v4 and has been for a decade. You are the only person who pointed it out till now.

There are some changes to come as far as the rules. We need the player signups. We will most likely go with captains.

This tournament since its yearly is most likely aimed at seasoned players even more if we go the captain route because the captains will choose those who know how to play most likely and possibly this will even out the balance. I can't make captains if I don't know who the captains are kappa.

@nuggets I think, because it's early posted? I did this on purpose, hopefully to mitigate absenteeism and to give time to those who need to plan it out if they are going to make it that day.

make it captain pick and it will be way easier for everyone, you will have 2x more sign ups because nobody wants to DM people and ask 'u know wanna team or no?'
