The next showmatch should be a 7 Game ShowMatch between Nexus and Tagada for $100, May 21st 14:00 UTC. It's intended to serve the dual purpose of showcasing the highest level of FAF in both gameplay (Nexus, Tagada) as well as mapping (Jip, biass, svenni). I'll ping people about the event on FAF Discord as we get closer to the date.

It will be getting casted by Swkoll and archsimkat.

Jip was gracious enough to put forth €100 euros to host a showmatch between Tagada and Nexus to promote Jip’s, Biass’, and Svenni’s maps. The date was already agreed upon by both Tagada and Nexus, and is set for May 21st, 14:00 UTC. Prizepool split is 60/40 and was agreed upon by both players. Casting will be by archsimkat and Swkoll on faflive.

Showmatch will be a 7 map series on the following map pool:

Autumn
Mauve
Gateway & Rose
Kaali
Moon
Aalhaven
Archsimkat’s Valley

Maps will be played in the order above. Each map is a bo1, with draws replayed. Faction picks are done with FTX’s system (both players submit 2 factions to play, and one faction to ban from the opponent). The player with more map wins at the conclusion of all maps is the winner of the showmatch.

Feature request to @FtXCommando: can you not just link the FAF replay, but also a link to the twitch stream VOD + timestamp? I think most casual players would be more interested in the recorded cast.

Im Suprised that with the Showmatched you could jsut simple export the stream over to the faf youtube. this way would give more viewership on the faf account & promote these new showmatches. once on youtube you can add time stamps to each game but that couls be a littler spoiler for the matches

The show match is now in the past and in my opinion a success! At some point we had more than 100 viewers! Huge shoutout for the casters Archsimkat and Skwoll. And many thanks to the players Tagada and Nexus for participating.
