Click the reply button, then you can drag n drop client.log from C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs

I don't wanna flood, but now I could link my FAF account to the Steam (guys at help section supported me) and to the client (I'm so happy ). I was an error with my nickname hehe. Problem solved. YEAH!

I"m having the exact same problem. I even downgraded back to previously working 1.2.1 and issue still persists. I have to restart client about 10-15 times and then finally after 30 minutes it will connect. I did notice the client has no problems authenticating. When i reinstalled i was asked for usual log in but i tried with incorrect password and i got feedback immediatelly. But after entering correct password it just went straight into spinning loop of death for a long time, even after restarting client. HELP!!!! The problem is that it takes FOREVER (pun intested) to log in...

Anyway, in my case the only time it happens is when I can't connect to aeolus for w/e the reason. The client is just trying to write down the lines about how it's not connecting until it bugs out after taking all the ram it can and starts using the CPU

Yes, by an admin, but there is not really a reason to. If you created it and don't want to use it, it doesn't do anything.

If you copy the Steam shell script then Steam needs to run.

I fixed that by wiping everything out and reinstalling FAF along with both games. The file that contain presets is actually Game.prefs. My guess is that I broke it somehow by manually deleting the build template from there. Maybe I will test this out later and will post results here.

The tmp directory is only temporary so copy this file to somewhere nice. cp /tmp/proton_your_linux_username/run ~/Games/downlords-faf-client-1.2.0/ If you cannot find the run file, please check your Steam settings again. #Install the game, set launch options Note: This file contains the environment variables for Proton that are necessary to launch the game in a Proton/Wine environment. It also contains the version of Proton that you have selected previously in Steam. The FAF client will use this file to launch the game after we set it.

It looks like it crashed at the moment I pressed "m" for upgrading 4 mexes to T2. I selected them with supreme economy ui mod and then I pressed "m" to start the upgrade..
