    I'm afraid this won't be possible. The entire feature is one large assembly patch and those are very difficult to customize in such a way.

    I think the ideas presented are intriguing, but I am concerned about the current player base for ladder and TMM. The number of people who play these modes is already quite low, and implementing features that allow players to choose which kind of map style they want to play could potentially harm the already small minority of players. However, I do see potential for these ideas in the future. As the game evolves and attracts more players, these features could become more viable and beneficial. But for now, given the state of the game and its player base, I am not entirely convinced that implementing these features would be the best course of action.

    @Mach Nobody thinks timed expansions is a bad thing. What is bad, is that the players don't know that FAF changed the most-used strategy of noobs for how to beat any missions. If it would be just a map problem then the mapgen 3vs3 would solve that. The question is would enough people play it? Try it? 2v2 is basically dead anyway. Coincidentally, I wonder how much effect mapgen vs known maps has on rating. Using a dedicated queue (+ rating) might be worthwhile anyway.

People don't want to contribute if they feel like nobody will care about their contributions. So yea anyway multiple reasons of course and there's no guarantee that being open will make people want to contribute on its own, but being closed is definitely a big impediment.

    For the love of god, please make it optional if for what ever reason this gets implemented. The amount of stuff that this can make go wrong is just stupid. This will literally fuck up 100% time at the beginning of the game, and even later on. To the point it might be even game losing considering the way it will waste resources by starting to automatically produce something that's not needed, only cuz it was close to another factory....
