    Caused by: java.nio.file.AccessDeniedException: C:\ProgramData\FAForever\cache\featured_mod Seems like folder/file permission related or security software is blocking access.

    Still great advice! I would only add one point which is, find like minded people to play with. If you are looking to improve on Ladder (TMM now) or Custom x vs x games and find that you are unable to perform good enough to win on your own, make some friends and queue together because at the end of the day, even if you do everything perfectly, you are playing a team game. As Picard once said: "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose." Sometimes your opponent is just better. Use those times to learn from them.

    It will fix itself and if the map is broken you would just get four corners when you tried to open it so nothing fatal

    Match cancelled due to lack of response from other player

    What happened is that an earlier game failed to launch, but then for some reason the match cancelled message didn't get sent out until like 10 minutes later when the second game had started already. I have no idea how that happened at the moment, but I'll try to figure it out because that really should not be possible. Thanks for reporting the bug!

    No need to apologise @Jip , I'm sure you've got plenty more pressing things on your plate. The only difference i can see is similar to what @camber mentioned before - Any saved game over the 200mb file size seems to cause the crash when loading. Fingers crossed it's something simple - Normal Forged Alliance Skirmish is nowhere near as fun playing FAF Skirmish

    @sheikah all the maps are working. but every start of client is annoying sound notification appears. also faf client does not store autojoin channels. I remove autojoin to russian channel. after restart of faf client it join again... i have 2 annoying issues total...

    This error is due to some issue between the dns you have set for your machine and the client. Some people have found changing their DNS to resolve it. Unfortunately I have not identified what causes this issue as of yet

    @roscopeco2000 To play FAF, you need to launch the game through the FAF client, and you need to have FA installed on your computer (most people install it through Steam because they own it through Steam), and, you need certain FAF versions of files like units.nx2 and ForgedAlliance.exe. The FAF client will automatically download the needed files for you when you try to join a game. The file that is downloaded, called ForgedAlliance.exe, is different from the ForgedAlliance.exe file that is part of the Steam installation.
