C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Forged Alliance Forever\logs Edit: I just saw that no log is created for you. That is unfortunate. Is the folder really completely empty? Also, Windows Event Manager could be interesting. Is there a hint what crashes the game? Can you show us that log? Share the save game as well

    I'd like to remind everyone not to publicly discuss moderation actions. If you have concerns you are free to send an appeal or PM a moderator. With that out of the way, it's highly unlikely you were chat banned. Chat bans in general haven't been administered for years. If something is significant enough for moderation to get involved you will be given a global ban where you won't be able to access any FAF service. You probably just lost connection to #aeolus. You can rejoin it at any time by clicking the plus sign in the chat tab.

    Does anybody know why we have a proposal about preventing a hostile takeover by artificially restricting the capacity of individuals to accept Association members which in turn induces some weird game theory mechanics into accepting new applicants rather than just increasing the burden of proof required to be proven sympathetic? I feel like that whole thread is people realizing a problem that comes from the completely lax and irregulated acceptance process and just skipping the obvious solution of, like, regulating it? Why in the world would you stop 9 qualified contributors from deciding to join the Association a month before the GM rather than just increasing application requirements it so a Board and non-Board member can't invite their 145 player clan because they thought it would be pretty cool but would actually need to point to something they do that is an asset for FAF? Other solutions were presented but Jip's is the only one that I couldn't think of a way to break/abuse so that's why I focused on the issue that comes up with his solution in particular.

    On top of what Femboy said I'd also like to add that you were overflowing mass for a long time, left quite a bit of reclaim over the map, and didn't use your advantages. You had him massively outgunned in navy, as well as air control. you could have taken 6+ T2 mexes using bombers and torps alone. In games like these it's good to just zoom out, and take a breath and assess once you take over the map. It felt like you were constantly trying to break in and end the game immediately with all the units, pushes, and t2 arty sieging.

    I can't comment on balance, but I always play Aeon and often hope to get a 5x5 map so I can definitely say that Aeon on 5x5 is not "unfun". I think.... if you lose on 5x5 especially with Aeon you tend to lose quickly and can get to the next game. I like quick games, it might bias me.

    I didnt read the whole thread so If i repeat what someone has already said than you can all call me an idiot. I am thinking that new players that are familiar with FA but not FAF are not so concerned about each specific unit difference (because they can easily refer to an attached spreadsheet that has them side by side in a column for easy comparison) but are rather concerned with how the game plays differently. So is reclaim the same? Overcharge the same? ACU upgrades the same? What is different about the core meta of the game rather than simply unit differences. How do these unit differences change the core gameplay. Maybe in FA the ASF are weaker than in FAF so it needs to be explained how air battles are different because of that. I am struggling to find examples but I think I have said enough to make my point.
