Please provide a more detailed description. Make a screenshot maybe. Have you made an account? Have you got the newest client version? Does nothing happen in the client? Does nothing happen when you click on the "login" button or the "authorize" button in the browser?

Mostly that solves the issue @Inariari . The error says hydra.faforever.com is not reachable but 99% of others can reach it. Your ISP, Router, Router Admin, firewall or whatever is probably blocking it.

Can you open the website faforever.com in your browser? Do you have the newest client version?

Since some people want to hide ratings after all in FAF and rather have leagues instead. They would agrue against this feature and say people should not focus too much on their rating.

Well in real pvp games players also use experimental bombers for crashing them into stuff

I refresh token is the token used to remember who you are logged in as. When does the error occur. It might happen in case that you were logged in while your token expired.

How did you get the error? Did you copy it from a pop up dialog or the log? Did you have any other problems?

What means getting stuck? It does not open the login page? You hit the login button nothing happens?

Can you provide client logs?

I heard this story before from other players.
The reason the game does not launch is that the host's game does not start. The server is waiting for the host from what I found out. Host being a randomly assigned player. I can not see plausible ways for this to be true. I guess it was just bad luck... Also I also did that and got games started after doing so.

I wish you good luck. It is really hard to rewrite a client from scratch and you have a long way to go.
My advise for you would be:

• Keep in mind that if this project succeeds it gets big (FAF Client has 83642 loc only the core project) and that you will need a good clean architecture
• Try build a minimal valuable product first (get it to launch custom games and download maps and mods) and make sure it is stable. Building all java client features is hard, there are many idiotic features it has. And ppl always wish for more features.

Nobody cared for all the features the java client had, most ppl stayed with the py client. Java client was received as unstable, since it broke many times. That was mainly the lack of testers/ users and that in game development and patching everybody tested with py client and therefore broke java client. And also there was active development on the java client where as the py client just stayed the same. And ppl just like what they are used to.

Maybe the whole lib folder for simplicity XD

I think it might have to do if you lose connection to the server the hard way while being in a game or something similar. Somehow you are not logged out correctly or something.... Just a guess tho

java updating does not help client ships its own java and java client is completely seperated and can not cause game crashes. Seems like a sound problem(they are common).
