There is a week allotted to picking players for your team though? The point of the timetable idea/some sort of max time to spend on your pick was to prevent the situation of a guy just going afk for 5 days and coming back.

Lol, sorry, My persistance and number of times I posted and broke aeolus has paid off.
We now have a very nice pool of players and standbys.Remember Captains do NOT have to pick in order and you can Still get picked.
The draft process is going to take a few days for the Capt's to make contact with players and choose.All people Not picked in the draft can still substitute on Day 2 of the Tournament.

The Registration Period Is Now Over.
Congrations to all who are registered.Out of the 54 players who registered,
There will be 12 teams with 36 players.12 Captains,
24 Players,
and
18 Players on Stand By.The Draft Starts Now....
And we already have our First draft pick,

Day 1 no shows, or later day substitutions, and
Day 2 no shows, or later day substitutions. -

You pick a player from the 24 people that aren’t captains. The degree of discussion you want to have with said players is your own prerogative.
Only thing to keep in mind is that the pick process is intended to last a week. So don’t spend several days holding up the process because you need to ask everyone their favorite music genre.

Another thing, please join/look at the FAF discord if you’re a captain. I will be pinging captains when they need to make their pick and it will generally speed the process along when everyone can be reached from a single, central location.
Currently Achieved is the only person not on the FAF Discord.

you do Not have too.
The draft is a means to handicap and make the tournament more balanced.
Players in the draft pool, Must accept their draft or not play, they can not pass.This would disrupt the whole concept of the Draft.

The Cheat and Build multipliers will be left at the default 2.0,
unless specifically set in the options section of each game map.Right now we have 2 set options for Every game:*
1- Full share
2- Auto generate markers always
*Any other options will be marked with a yellow 'dot' on the map.Make sure all 4 mods are loaded for every game,
as the AI mods work integrally together with markers and such. -

Yes, I believed it replaced the mod - "Quality of Performance."
It cuts down on the number of particles produced on certain effects to help keep PC's from slowing down as much.It is common mod for multiplayer games.

There are multiple players who have asked to be put on the standby list since the draft period has ended.
So, I am opening the tournament to new players who would like a "chance" to play.
Players who wish to play will be put on a "Restricted" Standby list and still have an opportunity to play.
The way the Standby list and the Restricted Standby list will work is as follows:ANY player on the pre draft - Standby list can fill in for anyone no matter the rating differential.
A player on the 'restricted' standby list can Only fill in for a player with a higher rating.ie: A 1640 rated player drops out and needs replacement -
the team captain can choose an 1800 player from the standby list or
a player rated 1639 or lower from the restricted list.So....... If you missed the initial draft and still would like a chance at play,

If you allow people to register after signup is over, and not as a part of the draft, then you allow people to do things like:
- 2100 guy signs up late
- is now a sub
- guy picks a 1300 for their team
- 1300 strategically forfeits slot
- now this 2100 is on the team
Ah, didn't see your restriction about the higher rating thing. I still think it leaves the door open for abuse in the form of someone clearly overrated signing up only to forfeit and then getting your pick of a particularly good 1800/1900.

Sub could not be higher rated then the person who drops,,
so to get a 2100 , a 2105+ would have to drop
That Protects from such devious nous -
