Start Menu is broken

We'd need a log to know more! It works fine in my development setup.

Is there a reason you're trying to launch the game directly? You can do everything via the client, even play campaign maps via the co-op tab (that you can start alone, if that is what you're looking for)

Whats the correct log? the client.txt in the log folder?
I'd like to launch the standard campaign as I want to get used to the game and I find the FAF Launcher not really comfortable. To be true: i don't know how to do this via the FAF launcher...

@philsphilos this unofficial guide might help you playing the campaign online so you can save/load (since it was now fixed!).

You will have to first download the maps from the FAF client tho

That's it!

You can of course feel free to play directly from there, but you won't be able to save or load.

Have you been able to start any game from the client? Maybe there's something wrong with your video configs.

When you start a game via the client it doesn't go through the start menu.

You can host a game via the co-op tab, as showed by deletethis. That should bring you directly to the lobby, that you then can start with the settings you want !

There's something broke with your installation regardless. What client version are you running?

That should be fine, but it appears you're missing assets still. We'd need to see the logs - you can find the logs folder via the bar menu in the client (top left corner)

It appears that the game does not manage to load in some files from the base game. They are mounted, but perhaps they are corrupt. Could you verify the integrity of the files of the base game, via Steam?
