      From what i know, any counter weapon will auto target enemy projectiles if it is in range and if there is not overwhelming numbers of projectiles and ''protect'' the unit without countermeasures.

      "tele-GC" is a strategy where you can make a colossus appear at the back of someone else's base (or basically anywhere on the map, including in the water) You need an Aeon unit with T3 engineering (which means you need to get T3 on your ACU or someone needs to make a T3 HQ) You need to use that unit to make an Aeon Quantum gateway (3000 mass) You need to use the Aeon quantum gateway to make 5 aeon RAS boys (6450 each, which costs 32,250 mass) You need to upgrade teleporter on all 5 RAS boys (75,000 mass) You need to upgrade sacrificial system on all 5 RAS boys (750 mass) Then you need to teleport all 5 RAS boys at the same time (teleporting costs 10k energy/second, doing it for 5 at once means 50k energy, -- so your team needs to have a lot of T3 power generators - 10 T3 pgens would cost 32,400 mass. It would be better to have at least double that) When they appear at the destination, one RAS boy starts making the GC. Then all 5 of them use sacrificial system to build it basically instantly (which costs you the 5 upgraded RAS boys). So you need to spend at least 110k mass for every tele-GC and that's on top of needing a big infrastructure with T3 tech and lots of T3 pgens

      @iostrym The only mods I use are a strategic icons mod, 'engineer alt selection', and 'build range preview' (ok, I use 'range tester' too, but I hardly ever use it, it's just a throwback to another time!). A lot of people use an eco manager to see MEX upgrades though. You can certainly get by fine in the game without any mods. (You can do a great deal with custom keybindings if you learn about game.prefs without doing any modding btw)

      @iostrym Antitorps fire on any enemy torp that comes in range (and range is quite comfortable), when they are loaded. Even if those torps are fired to another target. So, yes, you can use destroyers to protect submarines, and submarines to protect destroyers. You can even put multiple naval units in the same spot. Like having 20 subs in the exact same spot. So they all protect each other. But in that case something with area of effect, can hurt all of them in the same time. Like Tempest torps/depth charges have aoe. Or battleships when groundfireing subs, etc. Notice also, that destroyer's antitorps have minimal range, under which they dont work. For example, if enemy sub is under your destroyer, then destros antitorp does not protect against that sub.

You always need to abort every command from the ACU, which is sometimes really annoying. Correct. I think that was done as a shortcut/workaround for the problem that getting T2 or T3 upgrade makes T2/T3 buildings available, and the FAF devs didn't or couldn't make it so those impermissible orders get canceled when the upgrade drops out (except you might not want to cancel them if, for example, you selected an upgrading ACU + 3 T3 engineers and told them to make a T3 pgen, canceling the ACU's upgrade shouldn't stop those engineers from making the pgen, so it's complicated whether you want to cancel orders or not) And also that some upgrades are dependent on other upgrades, like if you queue up first shield + second shield on an Aeon ACU. And then you cancel first shield, it would have to also cancel second shield. And rather than try to code all that out (and deal with the problem of mods like BlackOps or Nomads adding new ACU upgrades dependent on each other) they only allowed one way to cancel an upgrade.

If they shot cluster projectiles instead, like how their bomber shoots 6 bombs, then it would look way less stupid and not like a modded unit. This change would even keep it's shot per volley the same. Also, it would split early unlike the aoen rapid fire. This is my biggest (only?) gripe. I don't actually mind the functional change but it does look... well, yes, dumb would be one word for it. I would rather change the way it fires so the ROF is the same over time but it fires at a constant rate instead of charging up. Keep the range, accuracy, aoe, etc., everything else the same. Just... don't make it so... dumb? Goofy? I was going to type "unrealistic" when I first asked, but it's a sci-fi game so... outlandish? I thought the way it fired before was cool and classic and satisfying, regardless of range/accuracy/aoe. I just liked watching it. Now... it looks like a circus ride, not a weapon.

      @iostrym yep, and if you select a unit in-game that can build the thing you want to build, then the UI automatically calculates the time to build and the resource cost from that specific unit, or do the basic math to compare units that you know the build power of (A T1 engi builds at 1/6th the speed of a T3 engi, or 1/2 of an un-upgraded ACU, etc)

      it's quite bad yes,their damage is just too bad in order for them to get a proper real-game usage,i recall using them to kill some t2/t3 pgens in the past and maybe some meme snipes but that's about it,usually ordinary t2 units are just way more cost efficient
