    • New changes to the 2v2 TMM

      Hey, as you may not know I (commonly known as Yudi) have recently joined the Matchmaker team to support the 2v2 TMM map pool system.

      As an initial move today, I am announcing an update that our team came to agreement on how the current 2v2 rating brackets will work. Basically we will be utilizing a stepped, tiered bracket system for each rating range in order to improve the experience for all players.

      The main improvement and function is as follows: as you get a higher rating, you start unlocking new, harder maps and start losing access to the easier maps. By this system each player will experience a map pool that suits their skill area. Lower tier, less competitive players will stay on less challenging maps, while higher tier, competitive players will not have to play those maps and keep within the higher brackets.

      <500 players will be playing <500 maps

      500-1000 players will be playing <500 AND 500-1000 maps

      1000-1500 players will be playing 500-1000 1000-1500 maps AND lose access to <500 maps

      1500+ players will be playing 1000-1500 , 1500+ maps AND lose access to both <500 and 500-1000 maps

      By utilizing this new concept, the map pool will be relatively shorter for everyone except <500, which is why we're now adding 5 maps to the total 20, making it a 25 map pool, so maps are distributed evenly compared to the old system.

      The next map pool will be released at the usual start of the month and will use this new system. In this pool, we will be using a lot of old, forgotten 2v2 maps that have been overlooked for the past years in order to add more presence to them and variety to the TMM scene. If this pool comes off as a bit too different from the norm, please feel free to comment on that.

      500 = 7 maps
      500-1000 = 9 maps
      1000-1500 = 12 maps
      1500+ = 20 maps

      New System

      500 = 6 maps
      500-1000 = 10 maps
      1000-1500 = 12 maps

    • My Apologies from my behaviour in the tourney

      Yesterday i acted very unsportsmanship like in the tourney and that wasn’t the first time it happened with me, i just tend to rage out of control in 1v1 tournaments and end up malding like crazy, it was very shameful and disrespectul display by me, me and turbo are good friends and weve known eachother for years, i alr apologized to him, also congrats to turbo for winning the tourney, he deserves it and soon my boi will be crushing bar tourneys in the future aswell op, i sincerely apologize for all the viewers that were watching the stream.

      selens are easily dealt with because they're mostly effective in the first 2 minutes and its easily countered by 1 t1 tank which is worth 30 mass, also once u spot it (which is actually easy unlike you said) once it has nowhere to go because it has paper hp, as for subs u need to iinvest in t2 air hq + t2 torp, you need to actively search for it because it can actually move from 1 mex to other mex without dying unlike a selen, and on 20x20 maps where underwater mexes are often present it takes 1-2 min from 1 engi to move from 1 mex to another while on most 5x5/10x10 it takes 10-20 secs for an engi to build the mex after the prev engi died

      Both Tagada and i came to a conclusion after several minutes of discussion , by using the n.2 method that he suggested we should be able to fix the addressed issue without impacting the new concept.

      small tips

      1. Give your SMD to your teammate in case you're stalling (if progress is below 50%).

      2. Make mobile shields.

      3. Always make sera shields/sams if you have access to sera tech.

      4. If your paragon is 80-90% done ctrl-k most of your t3 mexes and reclaim them to boost the construction rate.

      5. If you see a teleport marker near your game ender make sure you ground fire it with your PDs and anything else that does damage.

      6. Make gunships only (mb not cybran t2 gunships), bombers/mercies have friendly fire so they can accidentally kill your game ender if enemy teles next to it.

      7. Spam energy storages if you have a paragon.

      What makes the fatty a bad unit is the fact that it can’t be used as a game ender unlike other T4s, It’s only purpose is to stall late game against opponent’s offensive T4, but what purpose does that serve if ure always going to be on the defensive, the enemy can just not attack you and make t3 arty, t4 game enders instead and you won’t be able to do anything against it but make ur own t4 ender, as if you were to face an uef player 3-4 chicken/gcs would easily to break through ur t3 arty base and 1 fatty and some percies really wouldnt be enough dps to stop them, but if u were to attack as uef, only 10-15 t2 arties (15k-20k mass) would easily be able to counter the fatty and the percies would be too slow to do anything, and would get countered by snipers under the shields to begin with, and yes as mentioned previously 20-25 corsairs or 5 strats which is like 1/4 (made up number) of a fatty can easily just kamikaze suicide on them.
      Even if u have no air control and they have some aas, they wouldnt be able to stop the bombers from dropping their bombs before dying, and you would be forced to turn your fatty away which would waste a lot of precious time.

      As UEF: Spam Coopers and shieldboats, maybe atlantis.
      As Aeon: Spam destroyers and late game tempest
      As Sera: Make t3 subs and mobile shields and try to outmicro.
      As Cybran: Spam cybran destros, harms if in defensive position
      In general: make battleships and try to ground fire them if you're accurate enough
      If you have air control: spam t2 torps as they're the most effective counter vs t3 subs (don't suicide one by one).

      mapgen is very weak when it comes to water maps, often its either 2 huge islands with 90 mexes each where theres nothing to fight for or its 8 tiny islands with 8 spawns each with only like 6-7 mexes per player, its incapable of generating multiple contested small/medium-size islands (metir for example has those) and games always turn into either 90 min -3 game or minute 10 game with pure frig spam because there arent enough resources to invest into anything else

    • 2 features i would like to be added regarding auto-mass fab manager.
      1. Please add an option to enable/disable the auto-mass fab manager, sometimes it causes more detrimental damage to by economy instead of helping me, i can understand it being helpful for begineer players but for a veteran like me i am able to manage my own economy better without having the game do the job for me.

      2. Add the "Pause" icon for the mass-fabs if they're turned off, the game does a poor job when it tries to communicate with the player that the massfab is in fact turned off, you have to manually find which mass fabs are turned off by hovering in each one of them, which doesn't seem practical in a scenario where you have dozens of them and you're busy focusing on other things, like how it used to be back then.

      This feature can be sometimes very misleading because it tries to tell you that you're overbuilding mass fabs but it's very hard to notice it in-game because of what i said in my 2nd paragraph, and because the game never allows you to energy stall it gives the impression that you don't really need to expand your power income which isn't the case at all (this is also somewhat a skill issue related complaint).

      Another issue is that sometimes massfabs automatically turn off even when you have plenty of energy left in the bank enough to give you the small time window to be able to fix it before you begin stalling, maybe add a threshold for how much energy left you have before it automatically turns off.

      just add a new queue that's simiilar to GW where you play as an anonymous vs anonymous that would solve your problem and i would like it aswell.

      There seems to be 2 different versions of Osiris currently in the map pool, perhaps 1 of the versions was accidental?

      We'll be adding a lot of old maps that has been overlooked in order to add presence to them and also variety for the 2v2 pool as in the past few months we've seen an influx of repeated maps returning back to the pool

      Lack of 2k+ ladder players, lack of highly intensive macro 20x20 maps and main reason is depression after underperfoming badly, its the endless cycle of motivation to play and unrust to get good again > play only once bad > get depression > never play again so never unrust > back to sentons and other chill games

      They have the most OP unit in the game (Cyb frig) and stealth, also everything is cheaper and has less bt iirc, so you can easily overwhelm your enemy with proper scaling, for example by the time ur enemy has 3 UEF bs you're likely gonna have 8-10.
