Game crashing, sound error?

Hello i am getting this sound bug that is still crashing my games and cannot figure out how to stop it. I made a previous post that got a little direction and i followed all the steps for that bug except one i couldn't find the file titled
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Game.prefs
in my computer anywhere. something about resetting it to get the changes to the sound to work or something i dont remember the entire article. please help me i really miss this game
