How do I delete my account?

I wish to delete my account. How do I achieve that? There doesn't seem to be any option in the account preferences menu.

you will need to send an email to [email protected] that you wish for your account to be deleted but this is a manual process and can take some time to be completed

I always wondered why with so many different websites and such you can set up an account fast and easily without any help but when you want to delete your account it's freaking impossible.

The FAF account is linked with steam to prevent smurving.
You can't make a new account and link the game again.In this way it's sure that the account will not be accidentally deleted
and prevent you from playing. -
