Unable to log into portal

I downloaded the client, registered and put my steam account to public the successfully verified my steam account but when launching the client and logging in it still wants to verify my account (In order to play on FAForever, we need to verify that you own a legal copy of Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. You can verify ownership on the website at
https://www.faforever.com/account/link) when I click on the account it says I am already verified. I have owned this game forever .
Please help. -
