      Hello every one.

The 4gb patch that you use on game exes to fix the memory issue. Do you recommend I patch the executable or it's not really needed?

      Cheers.

        Not needed.
        Not recomended.
it is something that was fixed in the windows XP era or might even be just some rumors, you don't need such patches anymore.
If you game is crashing there might be other reasons like mods or audio settings (5.1 or 7.1 sound causes crashes) or dual monitor setup when game is on two monitors of different resolution.

          Ok mate, I appreciate that.

One more thing, the d3d_WindowsCursor on the Console. I've tried it, and I think it may make things smoother but that may just be wishful thinking, any thoughts on that?

When you have this Nvidia driver problem it is REALLY noticable that everything is freezing when you move your cursor, even if you have very good PC, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6Dx2vW_scA here is a video with ryzen 2600 + rtx 3060ti showing that problem.
if your game does not freeze when you move cursor then you probably don't have such problem

If you have this problem you can update to newest Nvidia drivers, cause apparently they recently have just fixed that issue.
If that didn't help you can try to use that d3d_WindowsCursor command to see if it helps. If it help you can use Nvidia fix mod that just enters that command automaticly at the beginning of each game.

If newerst drivers and nvidia fix didn't help and you still have this problem you should look for special topic about it, there were more solutions, i think you can disable some nvidia container service and it would help, or at worst case just install old drivers.
