My chat has been broken for 2 months

Hello; my faf chat has failed working for the past ~2 months. tried to reinstall without success. what could be going wrong?
reconnecting never works; and im out of ideas. blacklisted for being too nice maybe?
didnt see any matching posts so i'm making this one. -
@obliilacybrance Whenever you change your player name, you'll need to log out of the client & then back in so the IRC/chat service is updated with your new name.
FAF Client > player name in top right corner > Log Out > Remember Me on login page >
> Login with Browser -
