Oh wait for some reason I thought it also said stealth too in addition to cloak. But yeah, still no, buff for no reason

How about stealth instead of cloak, remember if the sub moves or fires it loses the ability and if stealthed instead of cloaked, you would see it with underwater vision.

Imagine a 20x20 water map with underwater mexes. You park sub next to some mexes. Kill the mex in 5-10 sec then become idle. Wait for opponent to rebuild the mex then do it again. Your opponent has only a short window of time to realise what's going on and respond apropriately. Sounds like insane cancer to deal with.

That’s an outlier case that does not constitute a proper argument for or against…
Most maps don’t have underwater mex and the Selen on a mex spot is the same thing but even more difficult to notice

selens are easily dealt with because they're mostly effective in the first 2 minutes and its easily countered by 1 t1 tank which is worth 30 mass, also once u spot it (which is actually easy unlike you said) once it has nowhere to go because it has paper hp, as for subs u need to iinvest in t2 air hq + t2 torp, you need to actively search for it because it can actually move from 1 mex to other mex without dying unlike a selen, and on 20x20 maps where underwater mexes are often present it takes 1-2 min from 1 engi to move from 1 mex to another while on most 5x5/10x10 it takes 10-20 secs for an engi to build the mex after the prev engi died

T1 subs need more dps, that's all

You use underwater mexes as a main part of your argument against measuring mexes when capped. Then when underwater mexes are brought up in a way you disagree with u write them off as a outlier since they are not on most maps. Are they worth considering or not?

I don’t know what to say, I feel Ike I am talking to Stephane Bancel… I have no answer for you, you seem to be missing the point completely of what is being discussed here vs in that post you snipped.

Underwater mexes do get taken into account because a decent amount of the maps considered quality enough for the matchmaker queues involve underwater mexes. So that means balance suggestions got to either work in consideration around them or intentionally break it for some utility gain that warrants removing all of these maps.

What if T1 subs have cloak but no stealth and no sonar; also T1 scout planes have no sonar? Makes subs vs mexes & engies strong without affecting subs vs navy. Also means moving sub loses to lurking sub every time (if they engage at all).
