Can't install faf

Just got my new PC and i'm trying to install FaF after downloading the client installer from the site, but nothing happens when i double click it.
Computer starts loading, and eventually i get "you need to download an APP in the windows app store to run this".I have never had this problem or this error message before on my previous PCs, what might this be?
It just refuses to launch the installer.
I currently run win11. -
