Captains,
when preparing and strategizing for the upcoming battles...
remember that the game scenario's posted so far, are "early" intelligence reports.
We still have a few days, before we make contact with enemy.
Our enemies are dynamic, and on the move.
Battle lines are still being drawn.
Forces may be stronger or weaker than expected,
the enemy may have even changed locations,
it's also quite possible that... there may be more enemy bases present then expected.Prepare as best as you can.
Learn the maps, and be ready for everything and anything possible.
We will not know with certainty what awaits us until about 1 day before battles commence.
(when updated map scenario's will be released)
A good commander, Will adapt to unforeseen circumstances and come out on top.Day One is going to be all 10x10 Land maps.
Day Two and Three will have some water maps and some 20x20 maps.Here are the maps being used as of today:
*L, W, A + I = Land, Water, Air and Island type maps. -

The draft is now over, and Final teams have been formed.
players who were not chosen in the draft - have been moved into the standby pool.
Registration for "Stby pool" of players is still Open for Any <1800 players who can be available to substitute.
All ratings needed, as subs can only sub for players with a higher rating.

Some maps did stay the same, but
many of the maps have updated enemy factions, positions and strengths.Also:
Everyone please check the mods vault and
make sure you have the most recent update versions of All of tommorows AI's.
3 out of 4 of tomorrows AI's have had a new version released this month.
Attention: Make sure that you have NO MORE mods loaded at same time then
that which is specifically stated in the Game/Scenario Map "blue outline box" -
Tournament will be starting in Approx 2 Hrs.
Players and Standbys please report to the FAF Client irc rm #rainbow (open now)
a few minutes before game start to get added instructions.Standbys can still register below to be able to substitute if any players do not show.
Just state "standing by" in post below, and I will post on stby registration list.

Day 1 was pretty fun!
I hope the casters cab cast day 2 as well and I recommend they get an early start and cast the average joes v ythona matches from last night, they were great games!

Good day today...
We are now down to 8 teams and will play down to 3 team tomorrow,
Teams will play either 2 or 3 matches.
Teams that make it thru tomorrow are in the finals or semifinals to be held 1600 UTC Saturday Oct 1st.On Day 2 we will be using Uveso, DiliDalli, RNG and M27.
Check the vault to make sure you have the latest versions.
Things went VERY well today on the AI's part, lets
hope the AI does great battle again on Day 2.Here is the current team roster and stdby pool.

All rounds completed quickly today, except for
Losers Round 4 between the Muffin Men and the Janus on Rye squad.
This Round is to be "made up" before the start of the
Semi Finals on Oct 1st.

defeat the winners of the Semi Finals to be held between

Team "Muffin Men" (GingerBreadMan, Skrat and Hyp3r2001/Duelist) to
win the Finals,
or
to see if the if the winners of the Losers Semi Finals can repeat
what was done in the last Rainbow Cup by
Yudi's team - working their way up Losers bracket, and
overcoming the 1-0 starting deficit in the Bo7 Finals to win the RCIV!

One of March's RCIV winners from Russia,
gave me a bank contact, and
after contacting my bank, and
paying 2 international fee's ($25 and $20) the transfer went thru.I'm not sure how the player set up the transfers, but
when explaining everything honestly to my bank, they

Reminder..
The remaining 9 maps are Not accurate intelligence reports.
We won't know for sure -
what faction, locations or how many enemy AI are at each space planet/outpost.Expect the accurate finalized Game maps about 3 hours before
arrival to Strongwyn tomorrow ~ 1200 UTC.
We will Not know the finalized game maps for the Finals until after the
Semi Finals are complete.
Even though we are not sure of the exact AI enemy threats,
study the planets and learn the terrains of each.Looking forward to watching the championship matches tomorrow,

It was released today - Sept 30.
It was a necessary mid tournament update version that was
necessitated due to a bug that was spotted during
Tuesdays battle on Mellenium.
