Nuke launch sound absent

I can't figure out whether it's true that when an enemy launches a strategic missile, there should be a "Strategic missile launch detected" alert. But in fact there is no notification, no ping, nothing. Only on the minimap you can see a flying rocket.
Is that how it should be? -

For a nuke launched by the enemy you will hear an audio alert.
