Can't login at client

Hello, guys.
I downloaded the game, installed it properly (it's working fine, I can play against AI), but when I try to login at client, it doesn't work.
I'm already a registered user of FAF, so I thought it would be the same login and pw, but seem they aren't.
Are they the same or not? Is the link with Steam account mandatory before I can login? Because I still couldn't make the link work (I'm being supported about it in another thread).

I don't wanna flood, but now I could link my FAF account to the Steam (guys at help section supported me) and to the client (I'm so happy
).I was an error with my nickname hehe. Problem solved.
