      This error message appears, when I am trying to join a game or am about to create a lobby.

        The client is unable to establish a secure connection to the content server for downloading the game files.

        Disable security software for testing purpose
        Check firewall settings, if it blocks anything related to secure connection/FAF Launcher

            That is unfortunate, can you tell which OS and which security solution you are using, and which steps you have tried so solve that issue so far?

              I am getting this error as well. No joy with the above fix @magge
              I am on windows 10, have norton but disabled everything to attempt it. Have deleted game.pref, all my mods, the game itself, the launcher, restarted comp, moved it to different drives, and even did one final try with admin
