      Hi,
      I keep getting this error if i try to join a custom game. I trief redownloading the client but it still gives me the error:

          Check taskmanager, is ForgedAlliance.exe still running for some reason?

            @askaholic hi, no its not runing in task manager, i even deleted the app, redownloaded and installed it and it keeps giving me this error if i want to join a custom lobby

              You can try to install FAF to a different drive. Maybe your security software blocks writing to C:\ProgramData\FAForever

                It’s either unable to read from the cache folder or unable to write to the bin folder. I can’t tell which because I’m not that familiar with Java. But it looks like either a folder permissions error or something else that’s blocking the client from being able to perform that copy (such as the file being in use or antivirus software blocking it).

                  @askaholic i disabled my avast shields for 10 minutes and now i can join a game. windows firewall popped up to but i allowed it all. thanks guys! this topic can be closed. stupid antivirus 🙂
