How to install mods?

I tried to install mods through the launcher, mostly ui mods, but they dont seem to be activated in game. Also how do i get the text messages when i send Engery or stuff to mates?

you need to active them not just download them host a game yourself and you will see the options to enable them

How mods work in FAF makes sense; however, it is confusing for new players.
