help through replays

hi there,
I love supcom... but I suck so bad at this game ^^
the thing is, I don't improve much, and I thought I read somewhere that some high-rated players could give tips and provide help by reviewing and analysing someones' replays...
maybe I'm wrong, but if I'm not, can you please explain how it works ?
I'd really like to get at least an average player, and I'm ready to spend some time for this !thanks for your help
