would be really nice to have statistics including ETA, total/current remaining file size, current spead, etc
on some connections initial download can take multiple hours, especially if joining a heavily modded lobby.

We need devs who would take on such task upon themselves, pressing and more relevant issues take the priority rather then quality of life changes at this given moment.
