Start as admin
-
I would not run as admin. Rather the permissions on C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe have gotten messed up so that you need admin to run it.
Fix those permissions so you do not need admin to run it.
-
How do I fix those permissions?
I've set Full Permissions for the exe and every folder above it for all users, but the same error occurs.
I know I can fix this by starting as admin, but I'm trying to avoid that annoying pop-up every time I launch.
(I've deleted everything and done a clean install since the last time I started as admin.)
Edit:
Worked out a solution:
Create a new ProgramData folder in a different drive, set FAF to use that one.

Try in Admin CMD:
icacls "C:\ProgramData\FAForever" /reset /t /c /l -
