Have seen this error a few times recently, the last guy did not respond anymore.
Random guesses:
- Reinstall FAF, remove any leftover files before
- Update/Reinstall java
- Try a VPN
- Disable security software
- Try a different client https://github.com/Eternal-ll/Ethereal-FAF-Client/releases/download/v0.5-beta-fixes/win-x64.rar

It’s a network error. The client is unable to establish a secure connection to the content server for downloading the game files.
